Manager’s Message

Abbnoor Institute of Engineering, Faridkot got established in year 2011 by the S.S.S Educational Charitable Trust with the objective of creating leading Research and Development facilities in the field of Engineering.  The institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to I.K. Gujaral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda. The institute currently offers regular UG programmes in various disciplines of engineering and PG programme in  various disciplines of Engineering, Management & Computer Applications. The admissions to the various UG/PG programmes at AIE are offered as per the eligibility criterion laid down by IKGPTU & MRSPTU. One third strength of the students in the first year of the course is by direct selection under the Management quota, while remaining seats are filled up by the University based on the counseling scheduled by the university. The institute is conveniently located in Firozpur Road, Faridkot that is hardly 5 km from ISBT, Faridkot. The campus is housed in lush green environment providing an extremely peaceful and pollution-free location which is ideally conducive for academics and research. AIE is carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts training to students to make them competent, motivated engineers and scientists. The Institute not only celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society.All the departments have well equipped laboratories with modern facilities where UG/PG students perform experiments to gain practical knowledge and insight, which is a very important aspect of engineering education. During the semester, value added Domain Specific training programs are conducted by industry in-house for students in specialized areas such as Embedded systems, Digital System Design, oracle, Microsoft technologies, IBM Technologies, Big Data, Business Analytics, Mobile Computing, solid edge etc. To strengthen industry institute interaction, MOUs have been signed with leading industries viz. IBM,TEXAS INSTRUMENTS,SIEMENS,ORACLE,HCL to name a few and programs are conducted for students which are designed by the industry. Seminars are organized regularly in collaboration with experts from industry so that students are trained to be absorbed by the industry. The Departments of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) & Mechanical Engineering (ME) are the leading departments in the Institute. These departments have built excellent infrastructure to run the Bachelor and Master degree programmes. These departments have good interaction and backing up from industry and the leading  educational institutes of national importance in India and abroad. All these students have been well placed with MNCs, Corporate Houses and other Public/ Private sector organizations.
